TaleTime – Family Story Game (jp.appdevelopsk.taletime) — Last updated: September 9, 2026

TaleTime is a game in which a parent and child build an improvised story together, turn by turn. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted.

Information We Collect

• Account information: your display name, email address, and a securely hashed password. An account is required to save stories and to share them across your family's devices.
• Family and child profiles: a family name, and for each child a nickname, an optional age range label, and an avatar colour. We ask only for a nickname — please do not enter a child's real full name.
• Story content: the stories your family creates, including theme, title, protagonist name and type, setting, and each turn of text written by you, your child, or the app.
• Analytics and diagnostic data: aggregated, non-identifying app usage events and crash diagnostics.

How We Use Your Information

Account and profile data are used to sign you in and to keep your family's stories together. Story content is stored so that you can revisit and continue your stories. Analytics data is used only in aggregate to understand which features are used and to improve the app. We do not sell your personal data, we do not use story content for advertising, and we do not use it to build user profiles.

Advertising

TaleTime does not display advertising and does not use an advertising identifier.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data (screen views, feature usage) and Sentry for crash and error diagnostics, solely to fix bugs and improve the app. No personally identifiable information is collected by these services.

Data Sharing

Data is transmitted to our application server at oyakostory.appdevelopsk.com and processed by the third-party providers named above (Google Firebase, Sentry). We do not sell or otherwise share your data with any other party, except where required by law.

Data Security

All communication between the app and our server is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text. Data on our server is accessible only to the data controller named above.

Data Retention

Account data, child profiles, and stories are retained while your account is active, and are deleted within 30 days of account deletion or of a deletion request.

How to Delete Your Data

You can delete everything we hold about your family in either of the following ways:

• In the app: open Settings and choose “Delete account”. This permanently removes your account, all child profiles, and all stories.
• By email: send a deletion request to app.develop.sk@gmail.com. We will delete the data within 30 days and confirm by reply.

Children's Privacy

TaleTime is designed to be used by a parent or guardian together with their child. Accounts may be created only by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, who is responsible for any child profiles they add. We ask for a child's nickname and an optional age range only — we do not request a child's real name, birth date, photograph, location, or contact details, and children cannot sign up on their own, message other users, or share stories publicly. Story content stays private to your family. A parent or guardian may review or permanently delete a child's profile and all associated stories at any time using “Delete account” in Settings, or by emailing us. If you believe a child has provided us with more personal information than described here, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting app.develop.sk@gmail.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will be revised when we do.
