RenewCast — Last updated: July 25, 2026
RenewCast forecasts when the appliances you own will need replacing and what to set aside each month. It is private by default: the appliances, purchase months, lifespans and costs you enter are stored only on your device in a local database. Nothing you enter is uploaded to our servers, and there is no account to create.
Appliance categories, optional nicknames, purchase months, expected lifespans, replacement costs and repair quotes stay on your device. You can edit or delete any appliance at any time, and uninstalling the app removes all of this data.
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data (such as screen views) and Sentry / Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports, so we can improve the app. This data is not linked to the appliance information you enter and does not identify you.
The app displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers to deliver and measure ads, in accordance with Google's privacy policy. On iOS, we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency before any tracking. An optional one-time in-app purchase removes ads.
Replacement reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.
You can export your plan as a JSON document using the share feature. You choose where that file goes; we do not receive a copy.
RenewCast is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time; changes will be posted on this page.
