EarTrain – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how EarTrain ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application EarTrain ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address to create and manage your account. You may also use the App as a guest without providing any personal information.
• Usage Data: Exercise results, scores, progress, and training history to track your ear training improvement.
• Device Information: Device type and OS version, used for analytics and error reporting via Sentry.
• Analytics Data: Anonymous usage statistics collected via Firebase Analytics to improve the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the App, including ear training exercises and progress tracking.
• To authenticate your account via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.
• To send local notification reminders for daily practice (configurable in settings).
• To diagnose and fix technical issues via Sentry crash reporting.
• To analyze usage patterns and improve features via Firebase Analytics.

3. Audio

The App plays audio sounds locally on your device for ear training exercises. No audio is recorded, collected, or uploaded. The App does not access your device's microphone.

4. Notifications

The App may send local notifications as daily practice reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any server communication. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

5. In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional premium subscription to unlock additional features. Purchase transactions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store payment information.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party service providers:

• Firebase (Google): For analytics and authentication. See Firebase Privacy.
• Sentry: For crash reporting. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.

7. Data Retention

Exercise results and progress data are stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App. If you signed in with an account, you may request account deletion by contacting us. Analytics and crash data are retained according to our service providers' policies.

8. Your Rights

You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device's privacy settings or by responding to the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at the email below.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.

Advertising (Unity LevelPlay)

This app displays ads served through Unity LevelPlay, an ad mediation platform operated by Unity Technologies (formerly ironSource). To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Unity LevelPlay SDK and the ad networks it works with may collect device information such as the advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID), IP address, device model, operating system version, language setting, and your interactions with ads. This information is processed by Unity and its ad network partners under their own privacy policies: Unity Privacy Policy. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
