30sec Challenge ("the app", "we") is a short-video challenge app where you record a 30-second clip and compete with others. We respect your privacy. Your content and settings are stored on your device, and the items listed below are also sent to our server so the app can work.
Data we process
- On-device data: your settings and local history stay on your device.
- Sent to our server: the video and photo content you choose to submit to a challenge, together with the account you create and your score, because other players need to see your entry.
- Sent to our server: your approximate location only if you opt into location-based challenge rankings.
- Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics): aggregated, non-identifying usage and event data, to understand which features are used.
- Crash & error reporting (Sentry): diagnostic information when the app crashes or hits an error, used solely to fix bugs.
- Advertising (Google AdMob): AdMob may use a device advertising identifier to serve ads. On iOS this only happens with your permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, advertising tracking is not used.
- In-app purchases: processed by Apple or Google. We never receive your payment details.
- Camera, photo library and microphone: used to record and upload your challenge entry. Nothing is captured unless you start a recording or pick a file.
- Account: the app creates an account so your entries and scores stay with you. You can request deletion at the contact address below.
How data is used
Data is used only to operate and improve 30sec Challenge — to deliver the features described above, to measure usage in aggregate and diagnose crashes, and to show advertising. We do not sell your personal data.
Children
30sec Challenge is designed for general audiences (13+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Third-party providers
For details on how these providers handle data, see the Google (Firebase & AdMob) and Sentry privacy policies. Apple and Google handle in-app purchases under their own terms.

Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
